Roads leading to this place are in bad shape, causing detours and delays for taxis. The exchange rate they offered was significantly inflated, making us pay extra. The pool area gets crowded during peak hours, limiting our swim time, and the breakfast was quite minimal, only a tiny sandwich and milo, not enough to kickstart the day.

Staying at Grand Star was really enjoyable. The rooms had a nice daily cleaning service, and I appreciated the small fridge for storing drinks. Breakfast options were decent. I found the meals visually appealing, even though I didn't try everything. The location was quite remote, with bad roads making access challenging. I faced long travel times to popular areas in Accra. The air conditioning worked well, which was a relief during the hot days. However, I struggled with the lack of a full kitchen for longer stays. The front desk staff were welcoming, but I experienced some delayed responses to my inquiries about room service and the menu options. I suggest checking the road conditions before visiting, especially during the rainy season.

The front desk always greeted us with warm smiles, and the food was consistently great, including delicious local cuisine that was a highlight of our stay.

Unfortunately, the bathroom had water drainage issues, which could really dampen your experience. Also, some noisy music could be heard from the pool area late into the night.

All fine, but poor hospitality.

The ambiance was serene, with swanky decor and an amazing rooftop bar. I felt like royalty here!

It was just a decent option for a swift stopover in North Legon with good value for cost. The air conditioning worked well, providing a much-needed relief from the heat. Make sure to double-check the room amenities beforehand.

great access to parks and local attractions for city explorers

during my stay, I was thrilled to be just about 3.5 km away from the Botanical Gardens, where I enjoyed some lovely strolls, and it was also a quick trip to the stunning Legon Botanical Gardens only 4 km away, perfect for a weekend adventure in nature.

But the water system was frustrating, it stopped running when I was in the shower. I really enjoyed the friendly waitresses who were super attentive, and the meals were always delicious, especially the jollof rice. Plus, the beds were just amazing!
